Getting Started
Quick Start
Create an account and set up your first gauge dashboard.
Create an account
Go to h2oflows.app and sign in with Google. That's it — no password, no email confirmation.
Your account stores:
- Named dashboards and watchlist order
- Custom gauge groups
- Flow alert thresholds (Phase 3)
Add your first gauge
- Open the dashboard and click Add Gauge
- Search by river name, gauge name, or USGS site number
- Select a gauge from the results — it's added to your active dashboard immediately
Gauges refresh automatically. The sparkline shows the last 48 hours; the trend arrow shows whether flow is rising or falling.
Group gauges by reach
When you add a gauge that's linked to a reach in the registry, H2OFlows offers to show it grouped with its reach name and flow band label. Grouped gauges show:
- Reach name and current flow band (Too Low / Optimal / etc.)
- Live CFS with sparkline
- All reaches sharing that gauge under one header
Ungrouped gauges show raw CFS with no band context.
Create multiple dashboards
Click the dashboard name in the header to open the dashboard switcher. Use New Dashboard to create a named dashboard for a different set of rivers — road trips, a different region, or a specific permit run.
Each dashboard has its own watchlist and gauge order.
